Queue Humiliation: From Taunted to Teacher, A Surprising Twist of Fate
Girl Humiliates Woman in a Queue, Later Meets Her at University as Professor
A month ago, when I was in the midst of stress with my car breaking down and a sleepless night babysitting my grandson, I found myself in desperate need of a cup of coffee before my first class. On the other hand, the universe had other expectations. While I was waiting in a short queue at Joe’s, the neighbourhood coffee shop, I was looking forward to getting a quick dosage of caffeine.

While I was waiting patiently, Joe, the barista, noticed me and yelled out, “Mrs. Richardson, would you like espresso as you always have?” As I smiled and nodded, I couldn’t help but feel a little uneasy about the attention. He continued, “My treat,” which made my morning more enjoyable. A tempest was brewing in the line, and I had no idea that it was coming.
My unanticipated gift was taken the wrong way by a young lady who was in front of me. In a moment of rage, she reacted angrily and struck out.
Where have I been waiting for the past twenty minutes, and for what purpose? Considering that you are such an old nag, how come you come and cut the queue? I am late for university because I want to protect my future, not because I want to wait for someone’s treat. Go watch the kids.

She stormed over to the pay register, tossed money to the floor, and took my coffee away from me. The entire cafe, including Joe and the other patrons, stood there in a state of bewilderment. My normal reaction would have been to laugh, but I decided that today was not the day to be tardy, so I skipped the coffee and went directly to the university right away.
As soon as I walked into the classroom, I started the routine for the class and went over the list of students along with their grades. “Jane Gellar” was the one I singled out as the greatest option while I was still looking at the list. There is no sound. “Jane Gellar?” I asked as I raised my head. Is she somewhere else?”
“I’m here,” she said with a broken voice.

During my search for her, I became perplexed. No, it was she. The snarky chick that hangs around at Joe’s. I remarked, “Ooh, Ms. Gellar, it’s so nice to see you again,” while making an effort to hide a sneer. Suddenly, her eyes widened, and she appeared to be rather chilling. Some murmuring began to come from her mouth. “Ms Gellar, I want you to stay after the lecture.”
Jane made an attempt to apologise after class, but I told her that it was fine and that it was not a problem. “I discovered that I was in need of getting some help. You appear to be the ideal candidate for this position. You know…with a degree of personality! She was left with no other option but to take me up on my offer.

Jane obtained fresh experience during the course of the subsequent few months. Do you understand what I mean? Ensured that she had a good time. In addition to writing thousands of articles, she slept in, worked tirelessly to assist me, and made ten trips to Joe’s for coffee on a daily basis for the benefit of other teachers. She was aware that it was because of the words she had spoken in the cafe. As a result, she began to understand how foolish and incorrect she had been.

She was able to acquire a great deal of knowledge about journalism and working in a team when she was employed. Recently, she penned a piece of writing. Additionally, she read it in front of all of the students, including myself, during one of the lectures. It was a story about a little child who calledously ridiculed an elderly man who was ready to pass away. The boy was arrogant and impolite, and he lacked any manners whatsoever. She powerfully detailed how this awful demise threw a shadow over his entire existence, portraying the boy’s profound sorrow and, ultimately, his revolutionary journey towards a more virtuous and enlightened path. She also described how the boy’s journey ultimately led him to become more enlightened.
Following that, she disclosed to everyone that this narrative was based on her own life, and that it was in fact about both her and me. Nobody could make sense of it. A public apology was issued, and she expressed gratitude to me for imparting such a valuable lesson to her. The pupils rose to their feet and applauded.

Kindness transcends circumstances; the person you may underestimate today may become an important part of your life tomorrow. Kindness takes precedence over circumstances. It is important to treat everyone with respect since you never know what possible roles they could play in your future.
To tell you the truth, I was actually pleased to find that this young lady had gained knowledge not just from our job but also from the experiences we had in our everyday lives. At some point in the future, it is possible that Jane will teach this lesson of respect to another individual and thereby favourably impact their life as well. I am thankful that I, too, was able to manoeuvre through it successfully while maintaining my dignity.
