Considering her 28 years of marriage to Valeri Bure, Candace Cameron Bure is thinking back.
The 48-year-old Full House alum celebrated their wedding anniversary on Saturday, June 22, by sharing a sentimental Instagram post.
A number of sentimental images from the couple’s early years, including pictures from their 1996 wedding, were included in the post.
In the photos, Valeri, who is now 50 years old, was dressed in a traditional black tuxedo, while Candace looked gorgeous in a white lace ballgown with a long sheer veil. In one photo, the pair was even seen at an ice rink in the 1990s, where Valeri—a two-time Olympic medallist and former NHL player—was probably warming up.
“Today is 28 years old 🥂! In the caption, Candace described their journey from being a young couple in the 1990s to their current life together. “How it started… and how it’s going❤️💒,” she said.
Their three children, sons Lev, 24, and Maksim, 22, and daughter Natasha, 25, were featured in recent Instagram carousels. In one photo, Elliott Dunham, Lev’s wife, was among the family members grinning for the camera. Another photo showed Valeri and Candace kissing on a boat while sporting baseball hats and sunglasses.
Natasha joyfully celebrated her parents’ anniversary by leaving a sweet remark beneath her mother’s post: “Incredible parents ❤️.”
“I’m so happy that I invited you to that hockey game almost three decades ago,” said Candace’s “Full House” co-star Dave Coulier, who was instrumental in helping her meet Valeri by extending an invitation to a charity hockey tournament in Los Angeles almost three decades prior. Best wishes. I adore you two a lot!”

Candace told People in January that she was thrilled to be at her son Lev’s “amazing” wedding alongside Valeri and their family, saying, “Oh goodness, the whole thing was amazing.” Being the mother of the groom, it was the most memorable experience of my life. Although it was amazing, I must admit that the ceremony itself was really lovely.
She continued, referring to her son Lev and her new daughter-in-law Elliott, saying, “They’re so in love.”
