Loved “Today” anchor Kathie Lee Gifford, 70, shared a video of herself on Instagram on July 2, bursting with enthusiasm to show her fans a sneak peek of a special project she has been working on. The public voiced worry about her appearance and turned their attention away from the news she had to deliver.
Gifford seemed happy and animated as she talked about her next book, “Herod and Mary,” and the event she is scheduled to host for it. She was wearing a white shirt and a cream-colored fedora hat. She began by extending a kind greeting to the audience and wishing them a lovely summer spent with their family.
“I have a new project that is finally coming out, which excites me much. I haven’t said much about it because it’s taking so damn long, but it’s a brand-new book named “Herod and Mary.” In addition, July 16th is when it’s released,” Gifford said.
She continued by outlining the novel’s narrative, calling it a thriller about the relationship between Jesus’ mother Mary and Herod the Great and how their lives intersected during those historical periods. Gifford highlighted her religious book even further, expressing how intriguing it was to write.
Gifford first begged her fans to purchase the book right away before revealing, “On July 19, there’s a digital book signing that I do not want you guys to miss. I’m hoping you’ll join us, okay? It will be with ViciNFT and another company that I work with […] to make sure that it’s a lovely event for you.
Along with the Instagram reel, Gifford wrote a long description that provided her followers with further information about her impending book and event. “I am SO very excited to invite everyone to the official digital signing and book talk for Herod and Mary,” she said.

“It matters for me now, because […] I’m really aware that time is precious and finite and that I’m going to run out of time for some of the big things I want to do,” Gifford had previously stated.
She has never shied away from embracing aging and the changes that come with it. After co-starring with fellow “Today” anchor Hoda Kotb in Prevention’s “Love Your Age Week” in September 2017, Gifford opened out about her feelings regarding aging.
Gifford responded, “A lot of young people don’t have respect for the past […] and they think you only have something to say if you’re under the age of 30,” when asked if she thought that society’s perception of older women needed to improve. I apologize, but you still have a lot to learn because your brain doesn’t even fully develop until you are 25.”
Gifford also offered an alternative perspective on aging, emphasizing the advantages of having a good viewpoint on being older alone. “Life is about making choices all the time. She asked herself, “Am I going to complain about being 64 or say, ‘Thank you, Lord, I made it to 64’?”
“My kids are amazing, I have a job, I’m healthy, and life is good. Thank you very much. Being thankful for everything is, in my opinion, the biggest factor in loving your age. Gifford said, “You might as well take a dirt nap if you spend more time lamenting the things you can’t have in life than being thankful for what you do have.”
When discussing how becoming older has fueled her passion and ambition, Kathie Lee Gifford talked about how it has benefited her in her own pursuits. Gifford stated that she is happy to be a woman in society, despite the double standard that society has regarding males and women aging.
