Inside Jeff Bridges & Wife Susan’s Historic 4-Acre Montecito Ranch: Once Idyllic, Now ‘Severely Damaged
Jeff Bridges & His Wife Susan Lived in a Historic 4-Acre Montecito Ranch That Was ‘Severely Damaged’: A Look Inside
There previously was a historic 4-acre Montecito property that belonged to Jeff Bridges and his adored wife, Susan Geston. Oprah Winfrey currently owns the property, which was once considered “severely damaged” before renovations.

Famous architect James Osborne Craig constructed a stunning Spanish-revival-style villa in 1919 for Hollywood actor Jeff Bridges. Nevertheless, media tycoon Oprah Winfrey currently owns the expansive mansion, which covers a sizable 3,517 square feet on four acres of land. It is said that Winfrey paid $6.85 million for the Montecito home.

Celebrities seeking a haven away from the glitter of Hollywood are highly drawn to the Montecito neighborhood, which offers people seclusion, quiet, tranquillity, and beautiful vistas.

The stunning high vaulted beamed ceilings throughout Jeff Bridges and Susan Geston’s former family home give off a warm and contemporary vibe as soon as one steps through the wooden door. Using a more-than-meets-the-eye aesthetic, the opulent estate features multiple buildings.
Located at the middle of the compound, the main home boasts five fireplaces, three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and a kitchen recently updated with chef-quality appliances.

Upon closer inspection, the master suite’s vast size, dual walk-in closets, bay windows, fireplace, marble and glass shower, and freestanding bathtub demonstrate how lavish and comfortable the space is.

The property has a pool house and a guest cottage with one bedroom in addition to the main house. There is a family room, bathroom, sauna, and office in the pool house.
Jeff’s former home is an endless source of joy because, in addition to the structures indicated above, there’s a carriage house complete with a workshop and separate office.

The facilities don’t end there, as if things couldn’t be much better. On a stroll outside, one can explore the pond, the butterfly garden, and even the citrus orchard.
The slice of heaven was first bought by Jeff, often known as The Dude, and his adored wife, Susan Geston, for $6.85 million in April 2014.

Renovations were carried out to not only restore the property to its former beauty but also give it a modern makeover after mudslides “severely damaged” it.
In May 2019, the Golden Globe Award winner put the house up for sale, initially asking for just less than $8 million.

After adding a few million to his bank account, Jeff’s estimated net worth has already reached a noteworthy $70 million. Given that the celebrity started his A-list acting career in 1958 alongside his father Lloyd Bridges and brother Beau Bridges, such wealth is not all that shocking.
Despite his numerous on-screen roles, Jeff is most recognized for his role as The Dude in “The Big Lebowski.”

Aside from his career pursuits, he has supported Susan, whom he married in 1977, through the highs and lows of life. The couple now has a lovely family of five after welcoming three daughters, Jessica, Isabelle, and Hayley Bridges.

Looking back at some of the more significant events in Jeff’s storied career, in January of 2019 he was recognized at the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards for his significant contribution to film, in addition to winning an Oscar and a Golden Globe.
The actor’s remarkable career, which has spanned more than five decades and is still going strong, earned him the esteemed Cecil B. DeMille Award.
