Judge Greg Mathis’ Son Overcomes Judgment Fears and Celebrates Engagement: Stunning Photos & Videos

Judge Greg Mathis’ Son Gets Engaged to His Partner after Coping with ‘Fear of Being Judged’: Stunning Pics & Video

Now that they both have the courage to go public with their relationship, Greg Mathis Jr. is getting married to the love of his life. The location and frequency of the couple’s intended weddings have been made public. To make their announcement, they took part in a picture shoot, and the actor’s father presented the couple with an award.

Greg Jr., the son of Judge Greg Mathis Sr., announced his engagement in July 2024. For the announcement, he and his fiancé sat for multiple photos, during which the former disclosed one of the reasons he had refrained from disclosing their relationship.

In one of their “favorite vacation destinations,” Cabo San Lucas, the “The Mathis Family Matters” star and Elliott Cooper will marry the wedding. October 21, 2024 is the day that the pair has picked for their private ceremony.

In 2025, the couple intends to have a second, more elaborate celebration in Los Angeles for their loved ones. “To be completely honest, for many years, we weren’t sure if we wanted to get married formally,” Greg Jr. remarked in an interview with a publication.

It was disclosed by the judge’s son that although he and Elliott knew they were in love and wanted to be partners for life, “marriage seemed a bit more difficult to visualize.” The celebrity’s fiance expressed how they didn’t see “many married couples” that looked like them as role models.

However, they now see their impending nuptials as a “must-have” as LGBTIQ+ community representation is crucial. According to the pair, marriage is more significant than the institution because it gives them “a special way to honor the life we have built together.”

The couple discussed how they understood the current state of affairs and what their union “represents to others.” They came to the realization that their marriage and relationship might serve as role models for Queer individuals of all ages who, like them, “deserve to know that there is nothing wrong with them and that they have a place in this world.”

The main thing Elliott and Greg Jr. are looking forward to is spending time in Cabo with their families. The couple is eager to see how Elliott’s family, who enjoy the outdoors and are Southern, would fit in with Greg Jr.’s family because their families had only had one meeting before to the event.

Greg Jr. characterized his fiancé’s family as “city talking” and boisterous, in contrast. The pair has planned activities for the wedding weekend. They were “afraid to share our relationship with the world out of fear of being judged,” which is why they spent the first five years dating in secret.

Wine tastings, whale watching, and special dinners are all planned for the attendees. Elliott discussed the significance of family for them both and their union, pointing out that it binds their entire existence together. The couple bravely revealed their romance to the public on national television in 2022, after Greg Jr.’s family decision to pursue a reality program.

Elliott asked the judge’s son to marry him on September 29, 2023, at the French-themed restaurant Republique in Los Angeles. The place brought back memories of their previous Parisian anniversary excursions. It so occurred that the nation was the first they felt secure enough to hold hands in.

Republique, according to Greg Jr., is their “little piece of Paris in Los Angeles.” Under the guise of supporting the couple at the 2023 Los Angeles Walk to End Lupus, which they organized, friends and relatives were invited to the event.

Elliott made the proposal after he had the first course of dinner. Their loved ones “were so excited we couldn’t even finish the rest of our meal,” his fiancé said. However, the honeymoon is what the judge’s son is most excited about.

He expressed his desire of persuading Elliott to let them go to Bora Bora. The reality TV personality is also eager for them to begin a family and share more experiences in life. He said, “We are already a solid unit, but I’m excited for all of the added fun that the ‘Mathis-Coopers’ are going to have.”

However, Elliott is eager for the first day of the rest of his life to begin as someone’s spouse. He declared that he was content to live out the rest of his days with someone who accepts him for the eccentricities, strange anecdotes, and other outlandish things he may share.

“With Greg in my life, I feel like our future has no limits, even though it might, because he is the love [of] my life,” the couple said.

In 2024, on July 19, Greg Jr. posted pictures from the couple’s post-engagement photo shoot on his Instagram account. The duo was dressed in black in the first picture, which showed them standing at a beach and holding hands.

Greg Jr. donned an Ebru Gurlek Chamois Elegant Crochet Shirt, which retailed for €837 or more. In a few of the photos, the couple was seen holding hands by an automobile while wearing suits. Greg Jr. was wearing a $999 Don Murphy Butterfly Jacquard Jacket, which was black in color.

Elliott wore a white jacket known as the Creme Honeycomb Jacquard Tux Jacket, which is made by the same company and costs the same. The pair was dressed in matching shirts and jeans in two of the carousel pictures.

Greg Jr. was wearing a $280 Domi Ames Quarter Zip top in the color Hazel Wood. He accessorized his $260 Tencel Rayon Antoine Track Pants. Elliott’s $260 charcoal-colored Abel Pullover Shirt was created by the same brand.

The $240 pair of Ansel Jogger Pants he wore were sold out. It is thought that the wedding band that is seen on Greg Jr.’s hand is Carter’s Love Wedding Band, which has eight diamonds in it. It costs €4,800 or more at retail and has white gold accents as well.

Elliott received pictures of his engagement from him one day later, and the couple posted a beautiful film of their photo session. They could be seen in the video switching between some of their various looks and picture session settings. The video footage was labeled “On the Road to Marriage #MathisCooper.”

Before hopping into a car to go to their next location, the couple was spotted wearing their Domi suits and holding hands. They changed into the more formal Don Murphy coats as they were driving. When they arrived at their destination, they posed in a different car and gazed at a mountain top.

The couple sat on the car’s hood, holding hands, as the film came to an end. With a thank you to everyone who had made it possible, they clinked their drinks in their palms before the footage ended.

On his Instagram, Judge Greg Mathis Sr., whose “Judge Mathis” program lasted from 1999 to 2023, likewise congratulated the pair on their engagement. “I’m proud of my son Greg and fiancé Elliott for the courage to ‘keep it real,'” he wrote, posting multiple photos of the couple.
