Jamie Lee Curtis breaks down in tears over shocking revelation!
The star of Curb Your Enthusiasm and close friend of Jamie Lee Curtis, Richard Lewis, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 76 after suffering a heart attack. Jamie Lee Curtis recently expressed her deep sadness at his passing.
Famous for playing Laurie Strode in Halloween, the 65-year-old actress co-starred with Lewis in the sitcom Anything But Love, which ran for four seasons from 1989 to 1992.

Curtis posted a number of sentimental pictures of herself and Lewis on Instagram on Wednesday in an attempt to cope with her loss. She shared the deep influence Lewis had on her life in her poignant caption, mentioning how important he was to her sober path. After overcoming an opioid addiction, Curtis just marked 25 years sober, and she gave Lewis credit for assisting her in reaching this goal.

Curtis said, “I just found out that my friend Richard Lewis passed away.” “I can still clearly recall my exact location on Sunset Boulevard when I seen his poster promoting a stand-up special. I urged the casting staff to bring him in to try out for the role of Marty Gold, my best friend and potential boyfriend, during the ABC pilot Anything But Love casting process.

Curtis described what made Lewis’ audition unique. She remarked, “He blew everyone else away.” The show ultimately succeeded because of the chemistry between Curtis and Lewis, even though the first pilot was not picked up. She said, “We ended up producing the show for two years.”

She talked on how much she loved their time together on set, praising Lewis’s sense of humor and his oddities, such as disguising his lines under props. He performed stand-up comedy as well, but he detested doing stand-up in front of actual audiences. However, I thought it was fantastic,” she said.
Curtis also thought on how they both felt saddened by the passing of their friends and coworkers, Richard Frank and John Ritter. She disclosed that Lewis had mentioned in his most recent text message that he hoped to see more Anything But Love episodes released in a boxed set.

Curtis highlighted, “He’s also the reason I’m sober,” characterizing Lewis as a crucial person in her life. He was helpful to me. He showed me kindness, and for that I will always be grateful.
“He found love with Joyce, and that, of course, along with being sober, was what mattered most to him,” Curtis said in reference to Lewis’ wife, Joyce Lapinsky. “Writing this makes me cry,” she said.

Curtis recapped more memories and a picture with Lewis in a second Instagram post, along with a line from the Anything But Love theme song. Lewis’ brilliance and the pleasure of working with him on Curb Your Enthusiasm were acknowledged by her.

She added, “I became more knowledgeable about Richard and his gifts as time went on.” “He was one of the nicest people I know, and he was funny, which is why I fell in love with him.”

Curb Your Enthusiasm co-star Cheryl Hines also paid tribute to Lewis, mentioning his custom of showing love to people he cared about. “To have Richard Lewis love you. A true gem,” she remarked.

Curtis said a heartfelt goodbye as she wrapped up her article. Richard, you have my affection. You will be missed. I adore you, Joyce, and Richard’s entire family. Richard, Lawrence, cherished you.But you are already aware of that.

Curtis and Hines encapsulated the essence of Lewis’ influence on their life and their close relationship with the adored comic in these poignant tributes.
