Ellen DeGeneres Makes a Bold Move Away from the U.S.
Ellen DeGeneres takes a major step in cutting ties with the US
In addition to Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, there are a number of other high-profile celebrities who have made the decision to relocate to a different country in order to make big changes to their lifestyle.
According to reports, the pair has moved to the tranquil and gorgeous Cotswolds region in southern England in the hopes of leading a life that is less hectic and more peaceful.

When compared to the rush and bustle of Hollywood, the Cotswolds, which are famous for their rolling green hills, medieval villages, and traditional English charm, provide a striking contrast.
The pair is claimed to have purchased a remarkable house in the region that is estimated to be worth roughly $18 million, which is a clear indication of their serious intention to establish themselves in the United Kingdom.
They made their choice after a string of real estate transactions in the United States.
At the beginning of this year, Ellen and Portia sold their vast mansion in California, which was reportedly valued at $29.9 million.

The estate featured six bathrooms and a large number of luxury facilities.
The situation did not end there. In addition, they listed a smaller cottage in Montecito, California, with two bedrooms, as part of their ongoing efforts to simplify their lives and to separate themselves from the lifestyle they had previously led.
This delightful house, which is situated in close proximity to the well-known Butterfly Beach, soon garnered a lot of attention.

As reported by People magazine, the property was sold for a price of $5.2 million after receiving many offers in just two days.
Their transition to living in the English countryside, on the other hand, has not been altogether seamless.
According to a source who spoke with the Daily Mail, the couple had a few difficulties that were not anticipated when they moved into their first home.

According to the insider, “there was flooding at the beginning, which caused quite a bit of disruption.”
Thereafter, a number of residents of the neighborhood voiced their dissatisfaction with the renovation work that was being done on the house.
