Amazon faces government criticism for displaying tariff charges on items because White House officials view this policy as hostile.

The White House issued a strong complaint against Amazon because the company plans to show customers tariff expenses for every product

The White House has launched a counterattack on Amazon after the company considered displaying the tariffs paid for items on their website.

According to the White House administrations it would be an antagonistic move for Amazon to show tariff costs for all items on their website.

Some news sources claim that Amazon plans to reveal these costs to customers in order to show them the extra expenses due to President Trump’s tariffs.

Press secretary Karoline Leavitt explained to reporters that she spoke directly with US President Donald Trump before criticizing Amazon for what she labeled as a “hostile and political act”.

She reported speaking with President Trump shortly before the announcement from Amazon entered the news. Amazon conducts this act as a hostile political action against the U.S. president.

The press secretary displayed a Reuters 2021 report titled “Amazon Collaborated with Chinise Propaganda Organization.”

Jeff Bezos contributed $1 million of his funds to support Donald Trump’s inaugural festivities although he also attended the inauguration.

The Washington Post published under his ownership declared they would not select a preferred candidate in the Trump versus Kamala Harris presidential race despite facing backlash before the election period. Bezos explained newspaper endorsements fail to sway voter opinions in elections.

The news publisher made this ‘principled decision’ according to his statement yet his columnists published an opposing view consisting of ‘an abandonment of the fundamental editorial convictions of the newspaper that we love’ comments.

During February Bezos declared that his Post opinion section would back ‘personal liberties and free markets’ then Trump praised billionaires Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg this week stating they were ‘great’ and his respect for them was intensified.

Tariffs are fundamental elements of President Donald Trump’s economic approach because he began announcing various worldwide tariffs before lowering most of their levels.

Trump minimized some of his announced tariffs yet China responded by escalating their own trade barriers which raised import taxes to excessive levels reaching 245 percent.

Companies maintaining operations between the US and China through imports will need to pay substantial fees to the US government leading to increased costs that Americans must pay.

When Amazon displays minimum amounts consumers need to pay due to each tariff their purchasing choices will become more obvious.

According to the Washington Post statement from Amazon they clarified costs of tariffs ‘were not under examination for standard Amazon site operations’, ‘this concept gained no approval and will remain excluded from definite implementation’.

Trump praised Bezos for his action by declaring he had solved the problem swiftly which made him a good person.
