Pope Leo just fired back at Trump after president called him ‘weak’ and ‘terrible’
In reaction to Donald Trump’s allegations regarding his reputation, Pope Leo XIV issued a strong declaration.

Trump attacked the Pope on social media, calling him “weak on crime” and “terrible on foreign policy.”
Although the 79-year-old was not specifically mentioned, the US President wrote the lengthy statement in response to Leo’s apparent mention of him in his Palm Sunday speech in Rome.

The pope criticized the “idolatry of self” and “delusion of omnipotence” in the US-Israel attack on Iran in an open speech.
Regarding the politicians engaged, he reaffirmed that God does not hear prayers from world leaders who “wage war” or have “hands full of blood,” urging officials from both sides to resign.

According to reports, the two had a falling out months prior following an unpleasant encounter between a Catholic official and the Pentagon.
Pope Leo’s reaction to Trump

On April 13, Leo told reporters that he had “no fear of the Trump administration” and that he will continue to speak out on international issues when traveling to Algiers.
On the papal plane, the pope declared, “I will not engage in debate.” I don’t aim to offend anyone with what I say.

According to CNN, “I am inviting all people to look for ways of building bridges of peace and reconciliation, of looking for ways to avoid war whenever that is possible.”
“Continue on with what I believe is the mission of the Church in the world today” is the pope’s stated objective.

He continued by saying that he won’t stop since he doesn’t fear the Trump administration or sharing the gospel.
Since we are not politicians, we approach foreign policy differently than he might. But as a peacemaker, I do believe in the message of the Gospel,” Leo said.

“Even the holy Name of God, the God of life, is being dragged into discourses of de:ath,” he has previously said in response to individuals who use God’s name in vain during times of conflict.
What was said by Trump on the internet?

The Pope reportedly declined an invitation to attend the President for the US’s 250th anniversary festivities in July. The Pope had previously disagreed with Trump’s views on immigration and war since the Middle East conflict began in February.
Trump wrote on Truth Social on Sunday night: “Pope Leo is terrible for foreign policy and WEAK on crime.”

“He talks about ‘fear’ of the Trump Administration, but he ignores the fear that the Catholic Church and all other Christian organizations experienced during COVID, when they were arresting priests, ministers, and everyone else for holding church services, even when they were ten or even twenty feet apart and going outside.”

“I like his brother Louis much better than I like him because Louis is all MAGA,” she went on. Leo doesn’t understand, but he does!
Trump declared that he did not want a Pope “who thinks it’s terrible that America attacked Venezuela” or one who supported Iran’s acquisition of nuclear weapons.

“I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s terrible that America attacked Venezuela, a country that was sending massive amounts of drugs into the United States and, worse, emptying their prisons, including murderers, drug dealers, and killers, into our country,” the president continued.

He then asserted that he had been “creating the Greatest Stock Market in History, and setting Record Low Numbers in Crime.”
Then, Trump asserted that Leo should “use common sense” and “focus on being a Great Pope, not a politician” since he wouldn’t be Pope if he weren’t President.
