When IFS Officer Ramesh Pandey urged his Twitter followers to help him find the animal, they got a good look at the photo. His description of the snow leopard continued with the terms “phantom cat” and “ghost of the mountains” to emphasize its remarkable ability to blend in with its natural habitat.

Because of this, seeing the leopard at first sight is next to impossible. Twitter users, meanwhile, needed much more than a cursory look to identify the mysterious creature in the photo.

“Phantom cat…!” Mr. Pandey tweeted with the shot, naming the photographer. The “ghost of the mountains” describes them. Locate it if you can.

A Utah citizen named Ryan Cragun took the shot and posted it on the micro-blogging site. The caption accompanying the photo was “Snow leopard doing a descent,” written by Mr. Cragun.
