The actor known for roles in ‘One Life To Live’ and ‘Call of Duty’ has passed away at the age of 56.

Tragically, Kamar De Los Reyes, who was known for his depiction of Antonio Vega on the legendary serial opera “One Life to Live” and for his contributions to the gaming world as the voice behind Raul Menendez in the “Call of Duty” series, has departed away at the age of 56 without any apparent cause of death.

Audiences were enthralled by De Los Reyes’s spectacular performances throughout his astonishing career, which extended over several decades. His character, Antonio Vega, became a well-known figure during his time on “One Life to Live,” where he appeared in an astounding 287 episodes between the years 1995 and 2009.

In addition to his success in the soap opera industry, De Los Reyes has made a foray into the gaming industry. He provided his voice and motion capture skills to the character Raul Menendez, who is featured in the highly acclaimed “Call of Duty” game. The gaming experience was enhanced with a greater sense of depth and realism as a result of his participation in games such as “Black Ops II” and “Warzone,” which earned him plaudits from both fans and critics.

The multitalented actor displayed his talent in a wide range of films and television shows, seamlessly embodying a variety of roles. The following are some of the films and television shows in which he has appeared: “Valley of the Dolls,” “ER,” “Sleepy Hollow,” “The Passage,” and “The Rookie.” Recently, viewers have expressed their admiration for his performance as Coach Montes in the popular television series “All American.”

On the evening of Christmas Eve, December 24, 2023, following a valiant fight against cancer, De Los Reyes’s illustrious career came to an unfortunately premature end. Despite having been born in Puerto Rico and having spent his childhood in Las Vegas, he moved to Los Angeles in the 1980s in order to pursue his acting goals. He has left behind an enduring legacy in both the theatre and television. It was only one of his numerous theatrical triumphs that he performed as Pedro Quinn in the 1994 production of “Blade to the Heat” that was performed off-Broadway.

Over the course of his remarkable career, De Los Reyes was honoured with numerous nominations and accolades, including five nominations for the ALMA Award, which he ultimately won in 2008. Furthermore, he was honoured with nominations for both an Image Award and a Daytime Emmy Special Fan Award, which is a testament to his exceptional talent and unwavering commitment to his profession.

His wife, Sherri Saum, who is also an actress on “One Life to Live,” his twin sons Michael and John, his son Caylen from a previous relationship, his siblings Daniel, Walfredo Jr., Lily, and Ilde, and his parents, Matilde and Walfredo, are among those who are left behind after De Los Reyes’ passing. The legacy that he leaves behind is one that will continue to inspire and resonate with audiences all across the world that he has left behind.

One of the most outstanding actors in the entertainment industry, whose efforts have left an everlasting impression on both television and gaming, has passed away, and the industry is in mourning. We will miss Kamar De Los Reyes very much, but we will always remember him with fondness because of his brilliance, his enthusiasm, and his unshakable dedication to his craft.
